|Abstract:||DHS requires the ability to respond to an attack with biological agents. Specifically, it requires a decontaminant to kill anthrax spores on building exteriors and interiors, and other surfaces. In this proposal we describe an innovative bio-agent decon technology that is particularly suitable for decon over wide areas; and as far as we are aware, no other technology in development can be used on such a large scale. This proposed technology has already demonstrated efficacy against chemical warfare agent simulants and anthrax surrogates. In this proposed DHS project, we would adapt and demonstrate a product currently in commercial development to meet the important needs for a national security biological warfare agent decontaminant.|
